AWS Solutions Architect

Role Overview

ArcheSys is seeking a motivated AWS Solutions Architect for a fully remote, full-time position. You will lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of modern cloud and software architectures that support customer business needs and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Development: Create comprehensive solution architectures aligned with business objectives; collaborate on customized solutions to address customer challenges.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Assist with the setup and maintenance of cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and deploy IaC using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams; run workshops/meetings to gather requirements and feedback.
• Technology Evaluation & Integration: Assess existing systems, propose enhancements/integrations, and evaluate vendors/partners.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce architectural diagrams and technical specifications; enable adoption through training/workshops.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure alignment with security, privacy, and organizational policies; collaborate with legal/compliance on regulatory requirements.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor solution performance, optimize results, and help troubleshoot post-deployment issues.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current on emerging technologies and advocate for architecture best practices.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent cloud platform certification).
• Eligibility/Clearance:
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • No sponsorship provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or additional professional certifications.
• Additional certifications in DevOps/SRE (the posting references Docker and Kubernetes certifications).
