AWS Solutions Architect

Role Overview

ArcheSys Inc is seeking a motivated AWS Solutions Architect to lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of modern cloud and software architectures for government customers. This is a fully remote, full-time role focused on software modernization, cloud strategy, and hands-on delivery across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Development:
  • Create comprehensive solution architectures aligned to business objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to build tailored solutions for business challenges.
  • Assist in setup and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Facilitate workshops/meetings to gather requirements, feedback, and alignment.
• Technology Evaluation & Integration:
  • Assess existing systems and propose enhancements or integrations.
  • Evaluate technology partners and vendors to support solutions.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
  • Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Lead training/workshops to support adoption and transition.
• Compliance & Governance:
  • Ensure solutions meet data privacy, security, and organizational policy requirements.
  • Work with legal/compliance teams to satisfy regulatory needs.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Monitor solution performance and optimize as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve post-implementation issues with IT teams.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and architecture best practices.
  • Advocate for improvements in solution design and implementation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• AWS Certification: At least one cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
• Clearance/Authorization:
  • Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (e.g., Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD). No sponsorship.
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Master’s degree or additional professional certifications in related areas.
• Additional certifications in DevOps/SRE practices (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes—the posting text cuts off mid-sentence).
