AWS Enterprise Architect

AWS Enterprise Architect (Remote, USA)

HCLTech is seeking an AWS Enterprise Architect to design and advance enterprise-grade cloud native solutions for customers.

Role overview

You will architect AWS environments by understanding the customer’s IT estate and priorities, collaborating across architecture/security/network teams, and driving cloud migrations and automation using Infrastructure as Code.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the customer’s IT estate, LOB applications, and IT/business priorities to design implementation architectures and cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application architects and relevant SMEs to deliver enterprise-grade architectures.
• Provide hands-on AWS expertise across enterprise implementations and migrations (at least 2 enterprise implementations/migrations).
• Build automation and environment-as-code solutions using:
  • CloudFormation
  • Terraform
  • Ansible, Puppet
  • Jenkins (and related automation)
• Architect core AWS platform capabilities, including:
  • Organizations and account design
  • VPC/subnet design and segmentation strategies
  • Landing Zone / AWS Control Tower (multi-account setup)
  • CloudEndure, AWS MGN, DataSync
  • Backup and DR approach/design
  • Network connectivity using Direct Connect, Transit Gateway (TGW), VPN
• Drive AWS cost management and optimization.
• Implement security mechanisms using:
  • AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Config
  • AWS Network Firewall, AWS Inspector
• Ensure AWS certification alignment, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
• Maintain an engineering/solution/use-case/PoC/asset development mindset.
• Support Sales/Pre-Sales activities, including RFP contributions.
• Contribute to blogs/whitepapers/presentations on AWS technical and strategic topics.

Requirements

• 15+ years total experience (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• 7+ years hands-on AWS experience and strong knowledge of AWS services.
• Hands-on AWS exposure with 2+ enterprise implementations and/or migrations.
• Scripting ability and experience developing Environment as Code / Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise AWS architecture and security services.
• Ability to interact with mid-level to senior management stakeholders.
• Strong solution design for native cloud application architectures and application optimization.
• Migration experience from on-prem to AWS using CloudEndure, AWS MGN, DataSync.
• Strong understanding of AWS Agentic AI.
