AWS Developer with Python

Role Overview

AWS Developer (with Python) to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to build scalable data architectures, optimize cloud resources, and ensure data integrity, security, and availability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and cloud solutions on AWS
• Implement data integration, transformation, and storage strategies for analytics and reporting
• Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and related AWS services
• Manage and optimize databases including RDS and PostgreSQL for integrity and performance
• Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow for automated data pipelines
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across cloud infrastructure and data workflows
• Stay current on AWS offerings and best practices; continuously improve solutions
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional IT experience with emphasis on AWS and data management
• Proficiency with AWS services: S3, Lambda, RDS
• Strong Python programming skills for scalable, efficient solutions
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (database management and query optimization)
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Familiarity with Control-M for batch processing
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to optimize performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments

Preferred

• AWS Certified Developer (or similar AWS certifications)
• Knowledge of Lambda and Event-Driven Architecture
• Experience working in Agile development environments
