AWS Cloud Solutions Architect

Role Overview

ArcheSys is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS & AI) to design and deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent cloud solutions for customers. This is a strategic, customer-facing role partnering with executives, engineers, and delivery teams from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Solution Architecture (AWS)

• Lead architecture and design of cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Create reference architectures, solution blueprints, technical roadmaps, and migration strategies.
• Design highly available, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized AWS environments.
• Guide modernization efforts (application modernization, containerization, and serverless architectures).
• Ensure solutions align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

AI & Intelligent Solutions

• Architect enterprise AI solutions using OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, and other LLM platforms.
• Design RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) using enterprise knowledge repositories and vector databases.
• Design agentic AI solutions to automate workflows and decision-making.
• Define AI governance, responsible AI practices, security controls, and model lifecycle strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and mission outcomes.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly, ensuring human oversight and accountability.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership across multiple cloud and AI initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and guide teams on AWS architecture and AI adoption.
• Review solution designs, code, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards, and reference implementations.
• Evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies and drive technical innovation.

Customer Engagement

• Understand business objectives and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery sessions, and solution reviews.
• Present recommendations to executive and technical stakeholders.
• Support proposals, technical responses, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
• Collaborate with program managers, product owners, and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.

Cloud Engineering & DevSecOps

• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Architect container platforms with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design secure CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Define observability, monitoring, logging, resiliency, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
• Apply FinOps principles to optimize cost, utilization, and governance.

Requirements

• Experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect with strong AWS cloud architecture and delivery leadership.
• Ability to design secure, resilient, cost-optimized cloud environments aligned to AWS Well-Architected.
• Proven experience designing enterprise AI/LLM solutions including RAG and agentic AI concepts.
• Clearance: Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Residency/work authorization: must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience with OpenAI and Amazon Bedrock.
• Experience defining AI governance and responsible AI controls for production systems.
