AWS Cloud Solutions Architect

Role overview

ArcheSys Inc is seeking an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect for a fully remote, full-time position. You will lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of modern cloud and software architectures that meet customer business requirements and scale for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Solution development: Produce comprehensive solution architectures aligned to business objectives and technological advancements.
• Cloud architecture & infrastructure: Assist with the setup and ongoing maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and deploy IaC using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Stakeholder engagement: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams; run workshops to gather requirements and feedback.
• Technology evaluation & integration: Assess existing systems, propose enhancements/integrations, and evaluate potential technology partners/vendors.
• Documentation & knowledge transfer: Create architecture diagrams and technical specifications; lead training/workshops to support adoption.
• Compliance & governance: Ensure solutions meet security, data privacy, and organizational/regulatory requirements.
• Performance & troubleshooting: Monitor performance, optimize results, and support issue resolution post-deployment.
• Innovation: Stay current on emerging technologies and promote architecture/design best practices.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS cloud certification: Must have certification in at least one cloud platform (specifically AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent).
• Authorization & location: U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship). Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
• Clearance: Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain).

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and/or additional professional certifications (e.g., DevOps/SRE-related).
