About the role

Role Overview

UST is hiring an AWS Cloud Architect (Solution Architect II – Cloud Infrastructure Services) to lead the architecture and execution of an on-premises to AWS migration. You will own end-to-end target-state design for a complex application portfolio and work hands-on with DevOps practices to safely move workloads into production on AWS.

Responsibilities

Own the target-state AWS architecture for on-prem to AWS migration across the application portfolio
Assess existing on-prem applications (e.g., Liferay, SiteCore, PingFederate, ETL jobs, Angular/Node.js services) and define per-application migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor)
Design AWS infrastructure and integration patterns for:
- Portal/CMS platforms (Liferay, SiteCore)
- Identity/SSO (PingFederate)
Architect migration/re-platforming of ETL jobs using AWS-native or AWS-compatible data processing services
Define CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (build, test, deploy, containerization)
Establish cloud engineering standards, guardrails, and reference architectures for migration teams
Lead technical design reviews, migration runbooks, and cutover planning
Partner with security and DevSecOps to ensure compliance and security requirements are met
Provide hands-on architectural guidance and troubleshooting during build and cutover
Define and implement an observability strategy for migrated applications using Dynatrace
Design certificate management architecture using AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) for applications and load balancers

Requirements (Must Have)

Extensive hands-on experience architecting and delivering solutions on AWS
Proven experience leading on-premises to AWS migration projects (strategy + target-state design)
Strong understanding of core AWS services (compute, networking, storage, security, database)
Dynatrace observability expertise (implementation/configuration, monitoring strategy, dashboards, root-cause analysis)
AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) expertise for provisioning/managing SSL/TLS certificates
Ability to integrate ACM with CloudFront, ALB/NLB, and API Gateway; knowledge of renewal automation and validation (DNS/email), including cross-account/cross-region strategies
Hands-on DevOps experience:
- CI/CD pipeline design and automation
- Docker containerization
- Embedding DevOps/DevSecOps practices into migration and deployment workflows
- Working with infrastructure as code, build pipelines, and deployment automation
