AWS Cloud Architect

Role Overview

As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will lead the technical direction for client engagements—from discovery through implementation. You will architect end-to-end solutions with a focus on security, performance, availability, maintainability, and cost, translating business objectives into an actionable delivery backlog.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver cloud solutions aligned to client goals across security, performance, and reliability.
• Design and implement cloud solutions tailored to client needs.
• Automate cloud provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and industry-standard tooling.
• Develop and execute cloud migration strategies from planning to production.
• Apply security best practices across multiple frameworks and compliance environments.
• Identify and optimize cloud environments for cost and performance.
• Mentor delivery teams and act as a technical mentor to other architects/engineers.
• Guide backlog execution by ensuring overall delivery quality and adherence to design considerations.
• Educate clients on best practices, industry trends, and methodologies for long-term sustainability.
• Build relationships with clients using trust and humility.
• Contribute to company growth via training, certifications, and internal initiatives.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of cloud architecture best practices.
• Ability to communicate architecture strategy effectively to clients.
• Experience architecting AWS solutions to meet varied objectives.
• Advanced knowledge of network design and security best practices.

Nice-to-Haves / Preferred Skills

• Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation (or equivalent)
• Configuration management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Kubernetes configuration/deployment strategies
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI
• Databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
