AWS Architect (Only W2) - Remote

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced AWS Enterprise/Solutions Architect to support Cloud Center of Excellence (COE) initiatives. You will define AWS cloud architecture, governance, and enterprise guardrails, aligned with AWS best practices and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AWS landing zone efforts, including Control Tower / AFT assessments and continuous improvements
• Define multi-account strategy, environment separation, and a shared services model
• Design IAM architecture (roles, permission boundaries) and integrate AWS IAM Identity Center
• Establish network architecture: segmentation, routing, and connectivity guardrails
• Implement enterprise tagging and naming standards
• Define security/compliance guardrails using SCP intent (guardrails and controls)
• Create and maintain AWS reference architectures and golden paths for:
  • EC2, ECS, EKS, and Serverless
• Develop policy-as-code intent in collaboration with DevOps teams
• Provide architectural guidance for DR, resilience, and RTO/RPO; support SRE fundamentals
• Review designs and provide architectural oversight for AWS workloads
• Produce and maintain COE documentation, standards, and onboarding materials

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience
• Strong expertise in:
  • AWS Organizations, Control Tower, IAM, VPC, and AWS security services
• Experience with enterprise cloud governance and compliance models
• Hands-on experience designing large-scale AWS architectures
• Strong understanding of security, networking, resilience, and cost optimization
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Prior experience setting up AWS Platform/Cloud COE
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred)
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
