Autonomy Engineer Intern (Computer Vision / Deep Learning, Fall 2026) at Skydio. You will work with the computer vision and deep learning team to architect and implement algorithms that power drones.
Key missions
- Architect and implement drone algorithms focused on computer vision and deep learning
- Own a project end-to-end that advances team and product capabilities
- Research, prototype, and assess feasibility of new approaches to intelligent systems
Requirements
- Solid software engineering foundation and commitment to clean, well-architected code
- Strong enthusiasm in one or more areas: computer vision, deep learning, motion planning, dynamics and controls, 3D graphics, distributed systems, tools/infrastructure
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, small team environment
- High proficiency in C++ and/or Python and PyTorch
- Strong foundation in math, theory, and software development; interest in contributing to next-generation autonomy algorithms and bringing them into products
Nice to have
- Experience or demonstrated interest across related autonomy areas (e.g., motion planning, controls, graphics, distributed systems)
