About the role

Role Overview

Join GDIT as an Automation Test Engineer working on the Case Management Modernization (CMM) Program for the U.S. Courts. You’ll be part of an Agile/Scrum team building and supporting a modern, cloud-based enterprise case management system that will eventually replace CM/ECF.

Responsibilities

Evaluate system requirements and design capabilities for test automation
Set up and configure test automation frameworks in cloud environments
Support CI/CD for continuous development and deployment
Prioritize automation with manual testers to maximize value
Design, develop, and run automated test scripts in the cloud
Develop test procedures to validate and verify requirements
Configure test environments and test data
Apply software lifecycle management practices and help anticipate system complexities
Follow established version control and coding standards
Communicate effectively with the team and report progress/defects/results

Requirements

Bachelor of Science
5+ years of experience with integration, regression, and system testing using automated testing tools for web-based applications
Experience writing test cases, test plans, executing test scripts, reporting defects, and preparing test results
Strong knowledge of the QA lifecycle (design, develop, execute, and document test plans/cases/procedures/scripts)
Experience developing automated tests for ReactJS and NodeJS
Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Jest, Mocha, Chai (and similar)
Experience setting up/configuring automation frameworks in the cloud (AWS/Azure preferred)
Ability to define automation test strategies for cloud-based “greenfield” initiatives
Experience testing APIs via gateway and cloud services
Familiarity with cloud technology concepts (e.g., SaaS)
Ability to independently set up and configure frameworks in Azure or AWS
Experience testing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Mentioned Technologies

Managing/executing tests with NUnit and TestNG
Experience creating expected outcomes and verification statements
