Associate Product Owner (Remote)

Role overview

The Associate Product Owner (APO) will act as a communication bridge between Japanese clients and the Vietnamese development team, translating business needs into clear requirements and explaining technical concepts back to the client.

What you’ll do

• Participate in IT projects as a member of the development/project team.
• Communicate with Japanese clients in regular or ad-hoc meetings.
• Gather, analyze, and document customer requirements, ensuring accurate delivery to the development team.
• Understand technical requirements from the development team and clearly explain them to the customer.
• Perform other business-related tasks as required.

What you should have

• Japanese proficiency: equivalent to JLPT N1 (or N2 with fluent communication).
• Experience in a similar position.
• Experience in the IT field.
• Experience working in a Japanese-company office environment (in Japan or overseas).
• Strong skills in communication, logical thinking, quick problem-solving, and responsibility.
• Understanding of Japanese culture and working style to maintain positive client relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience in software IT environments, especially skills related to Business Analysis, Testing, or Project Management (including understanding project lifecycle and IT terminology).
