Role overview
Samsara is hiring an Associate Product Manager (APM) to join the Product team. The APM program is a formal rotational training cohort where you learn product management fundamentals, work cross-functionally, and gain hands-on experience launching and improving customer-facing features.
What you’ll do
- Participate in a structured APM training program with peers, mentors, and exposure to multiple teams.
- Help drive the success of new products and features that delight customers.
- Learn the process of running beta programs and launching features with meaningful customer impact.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to build features end-to-end.
- Potentially own the roadmap for a small product area (within rotations).
- Complete two ~9-month rotations across different product areas, including:
- Mobile apps
- Web software
- Hardware devices
- Other product solutions
Requirements / eligibility
- Technical background is required; applicants should be graduating in or have a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or Cognitive Science.
- The role is open across the United States.
- For the duration of the program, participants must be based in Samsara’s San Francisco headquarters; a relocation bonus is provided to help cover moving costs.

- If pursuing a Master’s degree, it must be part of a co-terminal (co-term) program.
