About the role

Role Overview

The Associate Product Manager – Property & Casualty (P&C) supports product strategy development and execution to drive profitable growth across the P&C portfolio. You will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze performance, implement pricing and product enhancements, support regulatory filings, and deliver data-driven insights that improve profitability and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of P&C product strategies for profitable growth
  • Assist in developing rate plans and product enhancement roadmaps
  • Conduct financial, market, competitive, and industry analyses to identify growth opportunities and trends
  • Partner with teams including IT, Research, Pricing, Claims, Regulatory, Marketing, and Field Sales to implement product and pricing enhancements
  • Assist in marketing and product strategy development to improve profitability and competitiveness
  • Coordinate state filing activities with compliance and regulatory teams for rate and form filings
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards for KPI tracking (e.g., loss ratio, close ratio, retention, new business profitability)
  • Gather, analyze, and format large datasets to support product decisions and recommendations
  • Support underwriting strategy by assisting with underwriting appetite and guidelines
  • Participate in new product development (competitive benchmarking, vendor evaluations, variable selection)
  • Manage assigned product initiatives, including planning, implementation support, and tracking
  • Communicate product performance, state strategies, and initiatives to internal stakeholders, agents/field leaders, vendors, and regulators
  • Support responses to regulatory changes, operational issues, and emerging market conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance and/or product management, product analytics, underwriting, pricing, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to interpret market and business data
  • Experience building reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using Excel and business intelligence tools
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of insurance product development, pricing, underwriting, and regulatory filing processes (preferred)

Compensation

  • $89,800 – $125,500 annually (commensurate with experience, location, etc.)
