About the role
Role Overview
Reporting to the VP, People Operations, the Associate People Operations Director (HR Business Partner) provides business-focused HR best practices across multiple departments, teams, and markets.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to managers and team members on employee relations topics such as performance management, development, retention tactics, team building, and conflict resolution
- Lead annual talent reviews and succession planning for assigned business units, identifying high-potential employees and closing skills gaps via targeted development plans
- Drive organizational effectiveness by auditing team structures for scalability, identifying decision-making bottlenecks, and ensuring alignment with the “Privia Culture”
- Coach managers and leaders on effective working relationships, leadership style, and overall effectiveness
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on compensation strategies and identify where compensation may lag behind market
- Mitigate organizational risk by maintaining deep knowledge of labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and ensuring consistent policy application
- Lead cross-functional HR projects, including training and process improvement initiatives through change management and rollout
- Deliver trainings to improve collaboration, communication, and agenda execution
Requirements
- HR certification: PHR or SHRM-CP (SHRM-CP strongly preferred)
- 6+ years of HR experience
- 2+ years in an HR Business Partner role
- Familiarity with recruiting, learning & talent development trends, organizational design, HR compliance, and HR administration
- Proficiency using Generative AI tools to streamline HR administrative tasks and improve internal communications
- Strong financial acumen and business understanding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
Preferred / Additional
- Experience with Workday HRIS
Compensation
- Base pay: $100,000–$125,000 (annual)
- Eligible for annual bonus targeted at 15% and restricted stock units
