About the role

Role Overview

Associate Manager, Employee Relations at Stryker. Lead complex employee relations investigations across multiple regions to help shape a fair, respectful, and high-performing workplace—strengthening culture, mitigating risk, and ensuring consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Run HR investigations for a high-volume portfolio across the US, LATAM, and Canada, including:
    • intake and investigation planning
    • conducting interviews
    • making determinations and recommendations
    • delivering reporting and insights analysis
  • Provide investigation status updates to managers and HR business partners (HRBPs).
  • Recommend actions to HRBPs and leadership on investigation outcomes and employee relations issues.
  • Support complex, high-level cases as needed.
  • Analyze employee relations and HR investigation trends to identify and mitigate risk and drive cultural integrity.
  • Partner with HR to implement necessary improvements.
  • Initiate appropriate investigation procedures for alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and standards of conduct in partnership with Employment Legal, Compliance, and local HR teams.
  • Advise HRBPs on employee relations matters; submit recommendations on resolving employee relations issues.
  • Develop and deliver training for managers, employees, and HRBPs.
  • Define and refine employee relations standards and processes.
  • Coach HRBPs on employee relations and work-environment matters.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Employment Legal regarding discipline related to compliance investigations not tied to work environment matters (and assist when needed).
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging laws and periodically update applicable standards and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years relevant experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience.
  • Fluent bilingual Spanish (speaking and writing).
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant investigation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in business-facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or a role-related equivalent.
  • Bilingual Portuguese.
  • Ability to commute from a major Stryker hub.
