Associate General Counsel (Revenue)

Role Overview

Associate General Counsel (Revenue) at Flock Safety, responsible for managing a transactional legal team focused on revenue-generating contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of transactional attorneys, especially for negotiation of complex commercial contracts.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing to support revenue growth while managing legal risk.
• Identify and address legal and commercial risks in contracts; provide recommendations to improve processes.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in at least one US state and in good standing.
• 8–10+ years of legal experience, ideally with in-house experience.
• Strong ability to negotiate and draft technology-related commercial agreements.
• Experience with legal negotiation with both government entities and private companies.
• Ability to handle high volumes of customer contracts while balancing speed, accuracy, and risk.
• Ability to exercise sound legal judgment in ambiguous situations (know when to escalate vs. proceed pragmatically).
• Strong problem-solving skills for customer complaints/concerns.
• Ability to analyze legal issues and advise on business terms and transaction structure, balancing business objectives and legal risk.
• Comfortable using modern SaaS tools (e.g., Slack, Salesforce, DocuSign or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to ensure agreements align with internal corporate policies and processes.
