Associate Director of Athlete Engagement

Role Overview

The Associate Director of Athlete Engagement is a remote-first, part-time role and serves as the primary point of contact for athletes across the Axe Sports Group roster. You’ll be the relationship owner athletes trust, while also supporting the operations needed to keep NIL and brand partnership deliverables on track.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new athletes and communicate campaign expectations, timelines, and deliverables
• Track and manage athlete deliverables including:
  • social posts
  • appearances
  • content deadlines
• Follow up to ensure content is submitted and brand-compliant
• Coordinate with internal team members and brand partners to keep campaigns on schedule
• Proactively flag and escalate missed deadlines or communication gaps
• Represent Axe Sports Group professionally and authentically in athlete interactions

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in athlete relations, talent management, sports marketing, brand partnerships, or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly
• Excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple athletes and campaigns at once
• Strong comfort and accountability as a self-starter with reliable follow-through
• Ability to work with or around college or professional athletes (preferred)
• Comfort with occasional travel for events or in-person athlete engagements

• Familiarity with NIL, brand deal structures, or influencer marketing
