About the role
Role overview
Associate Director, Architecture Assurance Leader (Applications) within RTX Enterprise Services. In this corporate leadership role, you will oversee enterprise-wide architecture assurance to ensure strategies, systems, and solutions align with RTX business objectives.
What you will do
- Lead architecture assurance initiatives across corporate functions to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, policies, compliance requirements, and architectural principles
- Develop and improve enterprise architecture assurance frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by identifying architectural risks, opportunities, and innovations
- Perform architecture reviews for key corporate programs and projects to ensure alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and the technology roadmap
- Partner with corporate IT, cybersecurity, and digital transformation teams to design scalable, secure solutions that improve efficiency
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate architectural risks with proactive planning and resolution
- Track emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions
- Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement within the corporate architecture team
- Produce and present architecture assurance reports, metrics, and recommendations to executives
Qualifications
You must have
- Minimum 12+ years experience in enterprise architecture, architecture assurance, or systems engineering (plus bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience)
- Expertise with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar
- Proven experience in highly matrixed, complex corporate environments with cross-functional team leadership
- Experience with Planview EA, Sparx EA, and ServiceNow
- Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory/compliance requirements
We prefer
- TOGAF or ArchiMate (or similar) certification
- Experience with enterprise systems integration and large-scale program management
- Advantage: familiarity with RTX corporate policies/business structure
- RTX Certified Architect
- Knowledge of digital technology advancements (e.g., AI, cloud computing)
