Role Overview

Associate Data Scientist (Full-time, Remote)

You’ll support data-driven decision-making across Why Hiring’s products and operations by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from multiple sources to generate insights on user behavior, job performance, and platform effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Explore and interpret datasets to identify meaningful patterns and insights
• Design and evaluate predictive and classification models
• Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and model validation
• Apply statistical techniques to answer business and operational questions
• Build analytical solutions that support strategic decision-making
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings
• Assist with experimentation, hypothesis testing, and performance measurement
• Support deployment and monitoring of data science solutions
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve data accessibility and usability
• Document methodologies and maintain data quality standards
• Stay current with machine learning and data science methodologies

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Data Science and applied statistics
• Proficiency in data analytics/data analysis for cleaning, transforming, and interpreting complex datasets
• Experience with Data Visualization for dashboards and reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with analytical tools and languages such as Python or R and SQL
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Clear communication of analytical findings in writing and verbally
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment
