Associate AML Analytics

About the role

Join Wealthsimple's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team as an Associate AML Analytics. In this role, you will help improve and strengthen Wealthsimple's AML program, detect and respond to money-laundering and terrorist-financing risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will create and improve detection models, analyze large datasets, refine risk-scoring models, develop dashboards, and share AML trends with the leadership team. Key missions: Contribuer à l'amélioration des modèles de détection pour identifier les transactions inhabituelles et minimiser les faux positifs.. Extraire, transformer et analyser de grands ensembles de données pour identifier les tendances et les anomalies liées à la criminalité financière.. Développer des tableaux de bord pour fournir des informations qui améliorent l'efficacité du programme de lutte contre le blanchiment d'argent. Profile: - Is able to internalize and weigh information to come to balanced decisions - Experience using AI tools to work faster, and the judgment to know how to validate their output - Can develop and communicate stories to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Has strong data skills with applied experience in a risk function like AML or fraud - Experience using SQL to conduct quantitative analysis and synthesizing results into actionable proposals - Is intellectually curious and passionate about their work - Experience working in AML or a compliance function - Experience working with data visualization softwares such as Preset / Superset, Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc - Experience working with databases like Snowflake, Redshift, MySQL
