About the role

Role Overview

ARGO Developer (6-month contract-to-hire, fully remote)

You will work with the engineering team to plan, estimate, design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop business applications for the Argo Teller 21 application, including integrations with related peripheral devices.

Responsibilities

Own development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment/application/platform
Independently develop clean, maintainable, testable code for assigned work
Perform peer code reviews
Support application/system health, performance, and availability; help resolve system and client experience impacts
Package and support release deployments
Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Apply recommended information security standards during development
Validate technical viability of new/emerging products and technologies
Create/maintain technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts
Identify and adopt relevant standards and best practices
Participate in production issue analysis/resolution and an on-call rotation

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of software development experience
Ability to learn ARGO
5+ years of ARGO experience (preferred), ideally on the Teller platform
Experience with traditional client/server architecture (ideally ARGO Bankpro)
Strong DB and backend skills: DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server (and other relational databases)
Experience with SOAP and RESTful web services
Experience with shell scripts or Visual Basic
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills; proactive self-starter

Nice-to-Haves

ARGO Web/API experience
Experience developing ARGO Teller platform interfaces with CAD devices, check imaging software, or electronic cash recycler machines
Alogent Front Counter experience
Strong knowledge of Web methods, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Azure DevOps, XML, C#, and .NET
