Architectural Project Associate

Role Overview

Architectural Project Associate for a nationwide commercial architecture firm with an emphasis on retail design. The role supports project delivery across design development, permitting, construction documents, and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review, and coordinate revisions
• Assist with construction document sets (CDs) including permitting, RFIs, and upfront verification
• Conduct code and permitting research and coordinate with the city on permit-related requirements
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings/reports
• Coordinate with outside consultants and vendors (e.g., civil/structural/mechanical/electrical/plumbing)
• Prepare design development presentation drawings and responses to review comments
• Support meetings with stakeholders and communicate professionally with clients

Requirements

• Professional commercial experience, specifically with retail design
• Professional degree in Architecture
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
