About the role

Role Overview

Remote commercial design firm seeking an Architectural Project Associate to support architectural project delivery for retail-focused clients.

Responsibilities

Prepare full sets of construction documents (CDs)
Support permitting processes, including RFIs and coordination for permitting requirements
Conduct and/or support site visits and upfront verification, including survey drawing/report preparation
Assist with during-construction workflows, including punch-lists
Coordinate with city and stakeholders for permit-related requirements
Prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review, and coordinate revisions
Coordinate with outside consultants and vendors (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
Perform code and permitting research
Respond to comments from outside drawing reviews
Create design development presentation drawings
Maintain accuracy, organization, and alignment with design standards; solicit and incorporate feedback
Communicate professionally with clients and support the Project Manager

Requirements

Professional commercial experience, specifically retail design
Professional degree in Architecture
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit preferred/plus
Basic experience with rendering software
Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills

Nice to Have

Strong collaboration experience working with multiple outside consultants (architectural, MEP, civil/structural)
Comfort supporting code/permitting research and review comment cycles
