Architectural Project Associate

Role overview

Architectural Project Associate for a nationwide commercial architecture firm. This role is remote and supports retail design and commercial architecture projects from documentation through permitting and construction coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble full sets of CDs (construction documents), including permitting support
• Handle RFIs, site visits for upfront verification, during construction, and for punch-lists
• Coordinate with the city regarding permit-related requirements
• Coordinate and prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review
• Coordinate revisions to drawings and respond to comments from outside drawing reviews
• Coordinate with outside consultants/vendors (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and client vendors)
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
• Create design development presentation drawings
• Follow instructions from supervisors, meet deadlines accurately, and maintain organized documentation
• Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with clients

Requirements

• Professional commercial experience, specifically retail design
• Architecture degree
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Revit is a plus)
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
