Architectural Project Associate

Role overview

Architectural Project Associate for a nationwide commercial architecture firm. This is a remote role supporting commercial (especially retail design) projects and assisting the project team with design, permitting, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of CDs (construction documents) for bid, permit, and client review
• Support permitting workflows (including RFIs) and coordinate permit-related requirements
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Attend site surveys and produce survey drawings and reports
• Prepare responses to comments from outside drawing reviews
• Create design development presentation drawings
• Coordinate and prepare construction drawing revisions
• Collaborate with outside consultants and vendors (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other project consultants)
• Support upfront verification, during construction, and punch-list activities
• Communicate professionally with clients and coordinate with the Project Manager

Requirements

• Professional experience in commercial architecture, specifically retail design
• Architectural degree
• Proficient with AutoCAD (with Revit experience preferred)
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
