Role Overview
Architectural Project Associate at a commercial architecture firm supporting retail design projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare full sets of CDs (construction documents)
- Assist with permitting workflows
- Handle RFIs and coordinate responses as needed
- Conduct site visits for verification, including upfront verification and during construction
- Support punch-list efforts
- Coordinate with the city on permit-related requirements
- Coordinate and prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review, including revisions
- Coordinate with outside consultants and vendors (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and client vendors)
- Perform code and permitting research
- Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
- Prepare responses to review comments from outside drawing reviews
- Create design development presentation drawings
Requirements
- Professional commercial experience in retail design
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Proficient with AutoCAD (experience with Revit is a plus)
- Basic experience with rendering software
- Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
