Architectural Project Associate

Role Overview

Architectural Project Associate for a nationwide commercial architecture firm. The role is remote and supports project delivery across retail design work.

Responsibilities

• Create and assemble full sets of CDs (construction documents) and support permitting activities
• Handle RFIs, site visits for upfront verification, during construction support, and punch-list coordination
• Coordinate with the city and support permit-related requirements
• Assist the Project Manager with:
  • Preparing construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review
  • Coordinating drawing revisions
  • Coordinating with outside consultants (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and client vendors
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
• Prepare responses to comments from external drawing reviews
• Develop design development presentation drawings

Requirements

• Professional commercial experience, specifically with retail design
• Architecture degree
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus)
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
