Architectural Project Associate

Role Overview

Architectural Project Associate for a commercial architecture firm (remote). The role supports project documentation and coordination across all project phases, with a particular focus on retail design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of CDs, including permitting materials
• Support RFIs, site visits for upfront verification and during construction
• Manage punch-lists and coordinate permit-related requirements with the city
• Coordinate and prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review, including revision coordination
• Coordinate with outside consultants (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and client vendors
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings and reports
• Prepare responses to comments from outside drawing reviews
• Create design development presentation drawings
• Communicate professionally with clients and collaborate with the team

Requirements

• Professional commercial experience, specifically retail design
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (plus Revit)
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
