Architectural Project Associate

Role Overview

Join a nationwide commercial design firm as an Architectural Project Associate (remote). This position supports project teams from design development through permitting, construction documentation, and site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of construction documents (CDs)
• Support permitting workflows and coordinate permit-related requirements
• Handle RFIs, punch lists, and responses to review comments
• Conduct upfront verification and during-construction support, including site visits/surveys
• Attend meetings and coordinate with the city regarding permit requirements
• Coordinate and prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review, including revisions
• Coordinate with outside consultants (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and client vendors
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Prepare survey drawings and reports
• Create design development presentation drawings
• Communicate professionally with clients and support the Project Manager

Requirements

• Professional commercial experience, specifically retail design
• Architecture degree (professional degree)
• AutoCAD proficiency (Revit preferred)
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines accurately, stay organized, and take direction from supervisors

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Revit
• Experience creating design development presentation materials and rendering support
