Architectural Project Associate

Role Overview

Architectural Project Associate (Remote) at a nationwide commercial design firm, focused on retail design. You’ll support project delivery by producing and coordinating architectural drawing sets and handling permitting and review workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble complete construction documents (CDs), including permitting packages
• Support project workflow with RFIs, site visits, upfront verification, construction-phase needs, and punch-list follow-ups
• Coordinate with the city and handle permit-related requirements
• Coordinate and prepare construction drawings for bid, permit, and client review, including managing revisions
• Coordinate with outside consultants and vendors (civil, structural, MEP, and client vendors)
• Conduct code and permitting research
• Attend site surveys and prepare survey drawings/reports
• Prepare responses to comments from outside drawing reviews
• Create design development presentation drawings
• Communicate professionally with clients and coordinate with the Project Manager

Requirements

• Professional commercial experience, specifically retail design
• Professional degree in Architecture
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus)
• Basic experience with rendering software
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills

Salary

• $55,000 - $65,000 per year
