Role Overview

Commercial Space Architect / Warehouse Designer (Remote) at Crossing Hurdles.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate facility layouts to identify risks and optimization opportunities across operational areas.
  • Assess facilities for operational readiness, including:
    • power, HVAC, networking, security, and life safety systems
  • Optimize layouts to improve:
    • throughput, equipment uptime, workflow efficiency, and space utilization
  • Analyze adjacency and workflow design to support smooth movement of people, robots, and materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable facility solutions.
  • Identify design and infrastructure risks early to inform site selection and buildout decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in commercial architecture, industrial facilities, warehouse planning, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, facility systems, and space optimization.
  • Ability to review technical floor plans and translate requirements into actionable buildout recommendations.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino.
  • Systems-thinking mindset focused on efficiency, scalability, and safety.
