About the role

Role Overview

Join Pulsora as an Applied AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy LLM-powered applications and agent-based systems in production. You’ll own the full product lifecycle—from concept and iteration to production and ongoing quality/performance improvements.

Key Missions

  • Design, develop, and deploy LLM-powered applications and agent-based systems in production
  • Own the full product lifecycle (from design to production and iteration)
  • Integrate and optimize leading LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and open-source options

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, maintainable systems
  • Continuously improve system quality and performance (e.g., latency and cost)
  • Debug and resolve production issues
  • Define and implement evaluation strategies for AI outputs (quality, consistency, failure modes)
  • Apply AI-driven testing and reliability practices
  • Work across backend and frontend as you take products from concept to production

Requirements

  • Experience debugging production issues and optimizing latency and cost
  • Experience integrating major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and/or open-source)
  • 1–2 years of experience building AI-powered applications (AI agents and/or AI-assisted coding) and deploying them in production
  • Strong understanding of prompt and system behavior, including:
    • Prompt design
    • Context management (e.g., RAG, memory, tool use)
    • Multi-step/agentic workflows
  • Practical experience using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot
    • Including safe integration of AI-generated code into production via validation and CI/CD
  • Ownership mindset: strong accountability, high expectations, ability to operate in ambiguity

Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience working across the full engineering lifecycle
  • Evaluation and testing expertise for AI reliability and failure-mode handling

Work Setup

  • Full remote
