Role overview

Applied AI Architect (Remote; North America and Europe)

You embed with enterprise customers and own the technical work across the full customer journey—from initial demos and short proof-of-value engagements to multi-week production implementations. The goal is to move customers from prototypes to production-ready AI-native development and agentic capabilities.

Responsibilities

Enable Claude Code adoption through lead workshops and training (Claude for Work, Cowork, and the developer platform)
Codify deployment and operational patterns; feed learnings back into forgd methodology and Anthropic product teams
Translate discovery into customer environments (engineering toolchains/workflows, business operations, and organizational dynamics) and produce clear technical plans
Advise on how AI-native development changes engineering practices (issue management, branching, testing, code review, security)
Design/guide adoption programs that scale Claude across engineering organizations and into business teams
Lead scoped engagements (assumptions, risks, milestones, dependencies)
Co-build agentic applications on the Claude developer platform with customer teams
Produce technical artifacts such as evaluation frameworks, MCP servers, sub-agents, and deployment configurations tailored to the customer stack
Collaborate with Anthropic on customer engagements (joint working sessions, early access to product changes, direct line to product/engineering teams)

Requirements

3–5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Consultant) or hands-on engineering role (Software/Product Engineer)
Strong production software development experience (ability to write, ship, and operate production code)
Hands-on experience with LLMs (prompt engineering, agent design, evaluation frameworks)
Power user of Claude Code (or equivalent AI coding assistants)

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with enterprise/production environments and organizational change required to sustain agentic systems in core operations
