Role overview

Twine is seeking an experienced Application Developer (Remote) to build a comprehensive exam revision mobile app for gas and renewable engineers in the UK. The app should deliver a mobile-first, intuitive learning experience that mirrors the DVLA theory test format, supporting new entrants preparing for industry exams.

Deliverables

• Build a cross-platform mobile app compatible with iOS and Android.
• Integrate a question bank (300–600 multiple-choice questions) with:
  • Instant feedback
  • Detailed explanations
• Implement mock exams with:
  • Timed sessions
  • Pass/fail results
• Create topic-based modules covering:
  • Gas Safety Regulations
  • Appliances
  • Emergency procedures
• Provide user progress tracking across all modules and topics.
• Ensure a seamless, intuitive UI/UX.
• Produce technical documentation and support future updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile application development for iOS and Android.
• Proficiency with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
• Strong understanding of educational app design and UX best practices.
• Ability to integrate a large question bank and implement instant feedback.
• Experience with secure data handling and user progress tracking.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within project timelines.
• Familiarity with UK gas safety regulations and training standards is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and availability for remote collaboration.
