About the role

Role Overview

Intermediate Application Developer specializing in Python and SQL to build, maintain, and extend enterprise-scale applications. The position blends software engineering best practices with AI-assisted coding tools to speed up development and improve application capabilities in cloud or hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy Python applications and microservices in cloud-hosted or hybrid setups
Write clean, well-structured, testable code following SOLID principles and team standards
Build and consume RESTful APIs; develop robust data models and integration patterns
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and incorporate peer input
Translate business/product requirements into scalable technical solutions
Contribute to architecture discussions and influence technical direction for new projects
Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve efficiency and automate workflows
Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize database performance
Support deployment and operations via CI/CD and containerization
Assist with integrating AI frameworks and agentic tools for next-generation applications

Requirements

3+ years of professional software development experience, focused on Python
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework
Familiarity with ORMs (preferably SQLAlchemy) and database migrations tools
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Working knowledge of Docker and cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to clarify complex requirements
Excellent written/verbal communication; comfortable working remotely in an asynchronous environment
