Application Developer – Dating App

Role Overview

Twine is seeking an experienced Application Developer to lead the end-to-end creation of a new dating app (inspired by the UX and core features of apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge). The project will be built from scratch with an emphasis on a seamless, intuitive, engaging user journey. This is a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop a fully functional dating app for iOS and Android
• Build core product capabilities including:
  • User authentication and profile creation
  • Matching algorithms
  • Chat/messaging with real-time capabilities
  • Swipe-based navigation and discovery
• Integrate messaging features and relevant third-party services where needed
• Ensure security, privacy, and data protection best practices
• Optimize app performance and scalability as the user base grows
• Collaborate on UI/UX to deliver a modern, user-friendly interface
• Perform testing, debugging, and deployment
• Provide technical documentation and post-launch support

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and launching mobile applications (ideally in dating or social networking)
• Strong proficiency in relevant technologies/frameworks (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter)
• Solid backend knowledge: APIs and cloud services
• Experience with real-time messaging, push notifications, and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of security best practices and GDPR compliance
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Clear communication and ability to work independently
• Availability to work remotely and meet project timelines

• Demonstrated experience delivering social/dating products with strong UX execution
