Application Architect

Role overview

Join a client team as an Application Architect to lead the design and integration of virtual care/telehealth platforms within a healthcare organization. You will define target-state architecture for inpatient video visit workflows, ensuring scalable, secure, interoperable, and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for inpatient video visit platforms in the clinical ecosystem.
• Define target-state application architecture for inpatient telehealth, including integration with:
  • EHR systems
  • Identity platforms
  • Cloud infrastructure
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise standards and patient care objectives.
• Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to deliver reliable, compliant, patient-centered virtual care.
• Guide architecture for vendor-supported SaaS platforms in regulated healthcare environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree + 9 years relevant experience, or Master’s degree + 7 years relevant experience.
• 8+ years in healthcare IT, including 3+ years in solution/application architecture.
• Active Epic certification (any module).
• Experience designing architectures for vendor-supported SaaS in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability and security, including:
  • HL7, FHIR
  • Identity management
  • API architecture
  • Healthcare security requirements

Contract details

• 6-month W2 contract with strong possibility to extend.
• Fully remote.
