About the role

Role Overview

As an Appian Application Developer at Nuvitek, you will work with an Agile team to modernize customer applications using the Appian low-code platform. You’ll help envision, design, and implement features that meet end-user needs, collaborate with peers, and mentor junior developers.

Responsibilities

Design and implement new features using the Appian low-code platform based on the prioritized product backlog.
Apply out-of-the-box problem solving and participate in brainstorming with peers.
Estimate sprint work based on current understanding of required functionality.
Collaborate with functional and testing teams to ensure delivery meets/exceeds end-user needs.
Develop and run unit tests for features, including edge cases.
Conduct/participate in peer code reviews as needed.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (user story grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint demos).
Support client-facing sprint demos and coordinate with intersecting teams as required.
Participate in knowledge sharing (best practices, white papers) across the company.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
4+ years designing and implementing digital / BPM / case management solutions using Appian.
Strong Appian development and debugging skills.
Solid understanding of data concepts including SQL and databases, plus business workflows.
Experience with recent Appian versions (22.x or later).
Strong verbal and written communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or other IT-related degree.

Nice to Have

Experience with Appian SAIL, Process Models, Interfaces, Process Monitoring, and/or Integrations.
Experience managing multiple tasks and changing priorities in an Agile environment.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organization, and time management.
Experience working with distributed software development teams.
Experience with additional open-source technologies preferred.
