About the role
Role Overview
Early-career Application Developer (Center of Excellence) to build and maintain applications using Appian and other low-code platforms. You’ll work hands-on with development, integrations, testing, and documentation, collaborating with senior developers and global teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop specifications for new and existing systems (program steps and sequencing).
- Design, code, test, and document application components/technical solutions.
- Coordinate with colleagues, clients, operations, and technical support on system projects.
- Work independently on small to medium projects; set direction when appropriate.
- Investigate and solve issues in systems and programs.
- Interface with clients to gather/validate requirements, resolve problems, and perform testing.
- Support other analysts with tasks such as coding, testing, job processing, documentation, and scheduling.
- Plan specific activities within larger/complex IT projects.
Requirements
- 2-year computer science or business degree or equivalent work experience.
- Up to 2 years work experience (early career).
Preferred Qualifications
- Build applications using Appian and related technologies.
- API-based integrations to pull data from external systems.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, API integrations, and reporting tools.
- Financial Services domain knowledge.
- Appian Developer certification (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Jira and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Experience with cloud environments and deployment processes.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid office environment: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.
- Occasional travel.
- May require work outside normal hours for special projects or on-call.
Location
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
- Hybrid hub locations: Philadelphia (PA), Cedar Rapids (IA), Denver (CO).
