About the role
Role Overview
Build and maintain HD Intelligence’s internal and client-facing applications used by coaches, analysts, league administrators, and other decision makers. This is a 100% remote role for full-time or part-time team members (or contractors if applicable), reporting to an assigned manager and working closely with both technical staff and end users.
Responsibilities
- Design and build web and mobile applications to improve internal workflows and client-facing usability.
- Shape application architecture for long-term scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and apply best practices.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code prioritizing maintainability, security, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Python and SQL proficiency.
- Strong JavaScript and React knowledge for frontend development.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and testing skills.
- High availability, dependability, and flexibility; demonstrated teamwork.
- Must live in and be authorized to work in the United States.
- Part-time option requires some availability during typical 9–5 work hours for communications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Database design and optimization experience.
- React Native experience.
- Understanding of responsive UI/UX principles.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or DigitalOcean (AWS certification is a plus).
- Background in sports analytics, especially building sports-related applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Location / Logistics
- Remote (US only).
- Some travel may be required only when agreed with employee and supervisor.
