About the role

Role Overview

Joveo Ai is hiring an API Developer (Remote) to design and build API interfaces connecting the Joveo platform to clients, partners, and internal services. You’ll create APIs that are fast, reliable, and well-documented for developer consumption worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Define and enforce API standards (e.g., versioning, pagination, error handling, rate limiting)
Implement API authentication and authorization (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, API keys)
Produce and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and developer-facing references
Monitor API performance, latency, and reliability in production
Serve as a technical API liaison for frontend, mobile, and partner integration teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience building production REST and/or GraphQL APIs
Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Node.js, Go, or Java
Deep understanding of API security: authentication, authorization, and rate limiting
Experience with API gateway tools: Kong, AWS API Gateway, or Apigee
Familiarity with OpenAPI specification and API documentation best practices
Strong understanding of HTTP, caching strategies, and performance optimization

Experience collaborating with integration teams across frontend, mobile, and partners
