About the role
Role Overview
Angular Front-End Developer to support a Department of Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) project focused on application modernization in the Azure Cloud. This role can be 100% remote within the United States and involves hands-on front-end development as part of a project team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain front-end features using Angular following established coding standards, project requirements, and technical designs
- Participate in full software development lifecycle activities under direction of technical leads/managers
- Perform code reviews
- Implement unit and integration tests in line with team processes
- Identify and recommend technical improvements for assigned tasks, escalating as appropriate
- Use analytical skills to support development and problem resolution
- Support initiatives and contribute to project deliverables as directed
- Follow documented ICF development, security, and quality standards
- Learn new tools/technologies as needed
- Work effectively in a remote environment using established collaboration practices
- Own assigned components/tasks with oversight and review
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
- 3+ years front-end development with Angular (Angular preferred) or React
- 3+ years writing/debugging SQL queries and supporting apps integrating with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
- 2+ years working with REST APIs
- 2+ years working in Agile/Scrum teams (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- 2+ years supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- U.S. citizenship required (federal contract)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- Must reside in and work within the United States
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience supporting applications hosted in Azure Cloud
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Math or equivalent practical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
