Role overview

Senior Android Engineer for Netflix Games Experiences Platform. You’ll build the next generation of the Android Games SDK and product experiences, enabling game developers to integrate their games into Netflix and helping members discover and play games.

Responsibilities

• Develop product features and foundational infrastructure for the Android Games SDK (discovery, promotion, and media-rich game experiences)
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to define roadmaps and deliver delightful player experiences
• Architect maintainable, performant Android client code with strong documentation
• Design for testability and write automated tests to maintain product quality

Skills & experience

• Exceptional coding skills, especially with Kotlin and Java
• Experience building Android SDKs and video playback solutions using modern media frameworks (e.g., Media3/ExoPlayer), including player-based UIs and horizontal/vertical video
• Experience integrating with APIs/SDKs and platform surfaces for discovery, promotion, analytics, and A/B testing
• Plus: experience with low-latency, real-time audio/video (e.g., WebRTC or similar)

Compensation & benefits

• Annual salary only (no bonuses); you can allocate annually between salary and stock options
• Salary range: $388,000 - $558,000 (varies by location)
