Android Mobile SDK Developer

Role Overview

Join Nimbus as an Android Mobile SDK Developer to maintain, extend, and iterate on the Nimbus Android SDK. You’ll work with experienced engineers and product leaders in a lean, highly collaborative environment, with significant ownership and autonomy over mobile infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Android SDK Engineering: Design and implement features for the Nimbus Android SDK with a focus on high performance and stability for hundreds of apps and games.
• Code Quality: Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code in Kotlin, following industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate product requirements into technical implementation with the Mobile team, CTO, Director of Engineering, and CPO.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Proactively identify and resolve issues, fix escalated bugs, and maintain the SDK’s ongoing health.
• Documentation & Testing: Maintain integration documentation and perform rigorous testing/validation across the Android ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proven experience writing and maintaining a public-facing mobile SDK.
• Deep expertise in Android with Kotlin and Java, including tooling and the broader mobile ecosystem.
• Strong engineering best practices (e.g., logging, documentation, debugging).
• Excellent teamwork and communication; ability to explain complex technical constraints.
• Self-starter who can adapt quickly and learn new technologies in a fast-paced ad-tech environment.
