Role Overview
Wonderly is hiring a native Android Engineer to build and scale the Wonderly Android app as the product expands from a consumer offering into a B2B work suite. The role emphasizes deep Android development with Kotlin, with a focus on performance, reliability, and platform-level integrations.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale Wonderly’s Android app with strong attention to speed and responsiveness at scale
- Implement native platform features, including:
- Voice calling
- SMS
- Notifications
- Background execution
- Home screen widgets
- Make and own technical decisions
- Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to ship high-impact mobile features
- Work effectively in a startup environment, including handling tech debt and operating with ambiguity
