About the role
Role overview
Android Software Engineer (II) at Fetch to build and maintain a world-class Android mobile experience. You’ll collaborate with backend teams and external partners to deliver gameplay and rewards features within a modern 150+ module Android architecture.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android features for Fetch Play gameplay and rewards.
- Integrate with partner APIs and marketing tech systems to ensure accurate and reliable rewards attribution.
- Optimize shoppability flows for performance and ease of use, reducing friction from product discovery through purchase planning.
- Work closely with a small cross-functional team (engineers, designer, product manager, data scientist, and others).
Required / core qualifications
- Strong ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Ability to design and develop polished, user-centric mobile solutions.
Technology stack (day-to-day)
- Kotlin 2.x
- Jetpack Compose (95% of UI)
- MVVM with Hilt (dependency injection)
- Tooling and components such as Gradle convention plugins, KSP, and Room
- Build performance improvements using remote caches and CI on Bitrise
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with modern multi-module Android architectures and current Android best practices.
- Experience integrating with external partner APIs and marketing/attribution systems.
