Android Developer (Remote)

Role Overview

Joveo AI is hiring an Android Developer to build and maintain its Android application. The role focuses on delivering a fast, intuitive mobile experience for job seekers and hiring professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features for the Android app using Kotlin
• Build responsive and accessible UI following Material Design guidelines
• Integrate app functionality with backend APIs and real-time data services
• Write unit and instrumented tests to ensure app quality and stability
• Optimize performance including battery usage and memory footprint
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend teams in Agile cycles

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture
• Familiarity with Jetpack components: ViewModel, Room, Navigation, Compose
• Experience integrating REST APIs with async data handling using Coroutines and Flow
• Knowledge of Android testing frameworks: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito
