Android Developer (Remote)

Role Overview

We’re hiring an Android Developer to build and maintain Joveo’s Android application, delivering a fast and intuitive mobile experience for job seekers and hiring professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features for the Android app using Kotlin
• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces following Material Design
• Integrate the app with backend APIs and real-time data services
• Maintain quality and stability through unit and instrumented testing
• Optimize performance, battery usage, and memory footprint
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams in agile cycles

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns: MVVM and Clean Architecture
• Familiarity with Jetpack components: ViewModel, Room, Navigation, Compose
• Experience with REST API integration and async data handling using Coroutines and Flow
• Knowledge of Android testing frameworks: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito
