Android Developer

Role Overview

You will design, develop, and maintain Android mobile applications as part of the technology team, with possible opportunities to support iOS projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java/Kotlin and the Android SDK
• Implement responsive UI/UX that works across devices and Android versions
• Integrate apps with RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code following best practices and architectural patterns such as MVVM
• Create and execute unit tests to ensure stability and performance
• Perform crash analysis, profiling, and debugging to resolve issues quickly
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver features on time
• Manage Google Play deployment: publishing and handling updates
• Maintain version control and participate in code reviews
• Stay current with mobile development trends to improve app quality and performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience building Android apps
• Strong skills in Java and Kotlin, including Android SDK and Android Studio
• Knowledge of multi-threading and RESTful service integration
• Experience with unit tests, crash analysis, and profiling tools
• Understanding of UI/UX customization, and compatibility across Android versions and screen sizes
• Familiarity with the full app lifecycle, including publishing/updating on Google Play
• Knowledge of design patterns for reusability and extensibility
• Experience with Git, bug tracking, and CI/CD pipelines

Nice-to-haves

• iOS development experience using Swift or Objective-C
• Additional skills in Swift, C, or QA bug tracking
